A Christmas Wish

Hello everybody!
Two more days and the year bows! You are probably in the preparation for the new year and I wish you right now a wonderful New Year's Eve!
However, I would like to remind you that you still have two weeks to participate in our current challenge at the Dream Factory. - Maybe you want to be a bit quiet after all these festivites and create a little something!

This months movie is

Home Alone
Maman, j'ai raté l'avion
Kevin allein zuhause

I made this card as part of a Christmas gift exchange with my teammates at the Dream Factory. --- (we call that "Weihnachtswichteln --- I don't know if there is an English word for it)!

The upper part of the background is made with a stencil and the floor with a wood pattern stamp. I stamped, cut and embossed the image (Crafter's Companion) in several times and then layered it with Foam pads to get a 3D image. The mouse is from Katzelkraft. I colored with felt-tip pens.

... and here is the actual gift that accompanied the card!

The balloon and the teddy bear are made of felt. I drew, cut and sewed all the pieces by hand and then stuffed them. Before assembling the teddy, I wiped some brown ink on his face and on the rest of his body to give him a livelier look. A small nose and two tiny little eyes made of beads, and he looked really cute!
I removed the glass from the frame and replaced it with a gray, white-stamped cardstock. Now I had the background for the teddy and all I had to do was put him and the balloon in the frame!

The whole set!

The small package contains bar of chocolate 😉

Thank you very much for taking the time to read this post, despite much work for the festivites!
I wish you a splendid and roaring New Year's Eve - let pop the corks and slip gently into the New Year!

Happy New Year!!
Wishing you the very best for 2018!!

Before the year ends

....I'll show you my last Christmas cards and some other creations I made, but which was not allowed to show before Christmas. 😉

Hello everyone!
Today and the coming days I'll show you my last creation from this year.

I made this cactus for my cousin's daughter. I do not know her personally, but we got to know each other through our blogs. During the year I launched an invitation on Facebook, which was to comment my post and then post it on its own profile. - She was one of the party and therefore got a little something from me as promised!

On this cactus you can easily stow pins, whether it is next to the sewing box or on the windowsill - he looks great in any case!

Oh, I almost forgot,
The cactus is knitted, the stones are made of felt and the pot is made of cardboard and decorated with washi tape. .......... the "flesh" of the cactus is made of polystyrene.

Hope you like it....
because tomorrow I'll show you another one! 😊

Black, White and Red

Hello everyone!

Another Christmas card today .....yes, I must hurry !!!

I stamped some fir trees on black cardstock and then scribbled with a white gel pen over it.  Added some stars and snowflakes too!
I glued the black cardstock to the white card, sat the sentiment and added the ribbon. And voilà a very quick and easy card!

Advent, Advent ein Lichtlein brennt....

Yes, yes, I know, we are already at halftime but you know me, punctuality is not my first quality! - the package arrived on time!   .... and hey, I could not show it before! 😉

Hello everyone!
Today I show you this set that I made for a dear friend. I was inspired by Andrea's beautiful creation

...and here is my own idea.

A small Advent set.

If you remove the lid of this box, four small scented tealights come to light. Everything is nicely decorated and equipped with what you need to light the candles. ....and so that nothing happens during shipping, the box was closed with a nice bow (not visible in the picture)

I also made this card that I think fits quite well.
I used Design paper, vellum and a die-cut. The sentiment is stamped under the vellum. The layers are held together with an eyelet which I also used to fasten the die-cut!

Have a nice day and see you soon!

Stamps:  All from Stampin'Up
Inks: Olympia Green, Vintage Sepia, Smokey Gray and Onyx Black (Versafine) Whisper White (Stampin'Up)
Embossing: Softly Falling (Stampin'Up)
Dies: Fir branch (Impression Obsession); Stars and the die-cut on the card (Scrap Plaisir)

Enchanted winter tree

Hello everyone!

Today I have a tree for you that is somewhat enchanted by the magic of winter.

I used a dark blue background and heat embossed the tree (Katzelkraft) and the sentiment (Stampin'Up) in white.
I added some stars in Whisper White (Stampin'Up), sponged the edges with dark blue and black ink and mounted it onto a white card.

Have a nice day!

Something different!

Today, I want to show you something that I already did three months ago, and that has nothing to do with cards.

A sewing box...

....filled with some goodies!
I made it for a dear friend who mainly designs cards but sometimes, she also likes sewing beautiful things.

There are two drawers and many spools of thread that are decorative at the same time!
Everything is covered with design paper except the rounded edges of both sides. They are covered with beige fabric which is more flexible than paper.

It was a real challenge for me to work again with cardboard after many years.
My last realization with cardboard goes back to July 2014 - a urn in the shape of a motorcycle!

I hope you like this unexpected creation!
Have a nice day and thank you for having stopped by!

Angel

Hello everyone.

This is the second week for me as Guest Designer at Challenge Up Your Life.
....it's all about Angels this time!

I have no stamp or die-cut to make an angel, so I had to innovate!
I drew wings on white paper and cut them out. - Ok, now I have wings but much too flat and too white!
So I had the idea to cut them out of tracing paper and emboss them .... and lo and behold, I liked it much better!
Then, everything came by itself:
The gray background,  the dry and gold embossing, the white disc for the head and the golden string for the halo.
Once all pieced togther I stuck the gray card on a white base card. ...Love it!

I was very happy to be involved as a Guest Designer at CUYL.
A big thank you to the whole team for the warm welcome!

!!! Habt ihr euren Kommentar hinterlassen?

Cars

Hello everyone!
Do you remind our current challenge at the Dream Factory?

CARS
🚗 🚙 🚚 🚕 🚓 🚒 🚌

Originally it is an art deco poster that I found on the net. I loved the vibrant colors of this drawing so much that I could not resist taking it! ... very simple lines and therefore quite easy to reproduce them by hand. - I colored with felt-tip pens.
The word HAPPY are die cut letters and the birthday sentiment is my computer's work. ... From time to time we must know how to delegate, right?
I glued all on black cardstock and then to the white base card. .... I used a piece of linen fabric to embosse the base card.

I also did an ATC - not often that I do it but it happens.
And that too is inspired by an art deco poster! The cars, stars and writing at the top are stamps, everything else is drawn by hand on yellow cardstock and colored with gray and brown markers.

Inspired?? - you still have two weeks to join us!! It would be great to see your creations!

See you soon 😉

Addition!!
Sorry, I completely forgot to tell you that it is our 50th challenge as well as the blog birthday.
One lucky winner will be picked and get a Christmas surprise!

Happy crafting and good luck!

Trees .....Christmas Trees

Hello everyone.

Today, I show you two cards that are very special for me! ......Why this?
I won at Challenge Up Your Life (with this card) and I have the honor to support the CUYL team this and next week
....how lucky I am!!

Trees
are the challenge for this week!

My stock of Christmas cards is far from being at the top level, so I chose fir trees! Sometimes covered with snow, as on this card, and sometimes not .... but always in Christmas mood.
To make these trees, I simply used white and green triangles of different sizes.
I added some shine on the white parts with Wink of Stella glitter pen and scraped the green parts with a cutter to give texture. I glued the different triangles together to form the trees.
I sponged a white piece of paper with Tempting Turquoise (Stampin'Up), spritzed some water and let it dry.
Before glueing the trees I also added ultra-fine sheer shimmery spray (Tzukineko).
Finally, I stuck the finished panel on a white base card.

A little better view from the shimmer - it's so hard to photograph!

For this card I used several stamps (Stampin'Up, Kesi'Art, Docrafts)  to create a kind of collage.
The left border is stamped with stars.
I added two punched borders (Stampin'Up), a beige and a golden and wrapped arround with a linen string, to which I added two tiny tags. I sponged the edges with Toffee (Versafine) and glued the layer to the white base card. That's it!

Thanks for your visit and happy crafting!

Stamps: Firs, Stars, Splashes, Tiny fir, Sentiments, (Stampin'Up); Hiver (Kesi'Arts); Postcard stamp (Docrafts)
Inks: Tempting Turquoise, (Stampin'Up); Smokey Gray and Toffee (Versafine)
Punches: Stampin'Up

Go on holiday!

Hello everyone!
We have a new challenge at the Dream Factory! - This month's movie is

CARS
..... you guessed, it's about cars!  😉

Ah, this time I made it very simple! I stamped the images (all from Scrap Plaisir) and watercolored them using felt-tip pens.
To do this, I scribble with felt-tip pens on an old CD and then I use it like watercolor.
I stamped the two road signs and stuck them on a thin strip of gray paper.

And voilà a very old car - be it the model of the car or the card making! LOL
Truly, I made this card in 2014 and I never showed it - it was time, right!!!

You have plenty of cars among your stamps or coloring pages and you want to play with us? - We can not wait to see your works!

See you soon 😉

Stamps: First card (Scrap Plaisir), second card (Tim Holtz)
Inks: Fist card: Onyx Black (Versafine), felt-tip pens, Second card: Spiced Marmalade and Tumbled Glass (Distress), Onyx Black (Versafine)

Ho Ho Ho

Hello everyone!

I was so excited about Cornelia's card that I could not resist making one too!
and ......we never have enough Christmas cards - right!?

You can see that I was very strongly inspired by Cornelia's card, except that I added trees in the background and snow on the ground. That is all.
To hide Santa behind the tree, I cut at both sides of the trunk and stuck the guy in it. I did the same for the owl! The firs are stuck behind the snow hill. I colored with felt-tip pens.

Oh yes, I almost forgot to tell you that it's happening at Muse Christmas Visions 😉

See you soon!

Stamps: Santa (Artemio); Firs and sentiment (Scrap Plaisir); Owl (was a gift in a craft magazine)
Inks: Onyx Black (Versafine); Soft Sky (Stampin'Up;
Embossing: Woodland (Stampin'Up)

Fa la la la la

Hello everyone!
Time for a new challenge at House of Cards!
This month we want to see Holiday and/or Colors. (see the inspiration photo below)

This time I choose Stampin'Up's "Merry Mice".
To do the background, I used my new embossing folder (inked with "Saharah Sand" (Stampin'Up). -  just Love it!! 😍😍
I also added a few glittery snow hills to make a pretty wintry scene!
As usual I took felt-tip pens to color my images in watercolor technique.
Once colored, I fussy cut the mice and pushed them into the snow hills. 😊
It just remained to stamp the sentiment and that was it!

Ooh ooh ah! 🙊

Hello everyone!
Just a quick reminder for our current challenge at the Dream Factory. - This month's movie is

Night at the Museum
La nuit au musée -- Nachts im Museum

.... Monkeys, mummies (but no Halloween please), horses, cowboys, Egypt, dinosaurs, etc.

Neither monkey nor dinosaur, Indian or cowboy can be found in my stamp sets - so I had to fish again an image (coloring picture) from the Net! Hahaha

Otherwise, the card was super easy to do. After coloring the monkey I slightly sponged the sheet with blue ink, sewed the faux stitches to the edges with a quilter wheel and stamped the monkey scream. Finally I stuck the sheet on a white base card.

You still have two weeks to take part in this challenge and I hope that I could inspire you!

Thanks for stopping by!

Merry Christmas everywhere!

Hello everyone!

Couldn't resist to try my new dies ...

.... here is what came out!

I got them last week but....
the weather was so sunny and warm, our grandchildren were here .... it would have been a pity to waste this wonderful time for crafting!
Today it is gray and wet outside - so no regrets to stay at home and make the Cuttlebug work!

I created this little village by doing two layers with two different rows of houses. I just removed the parts of the windows and stuck some colored paper behind them. I distanced the two rows with self-adhesive foam.
I sponged the base card with blue ink and stuck the little village between the the card and the panel with the oval that I had previously embossed. To finish I added some die cut stars and a bit snow (white gel pen)
The edges of the card are glued flat - only the center of the card is bulging!

Thanks for your visit!

Winter Sports

Hello everyone.
Wow, just in time!! - Only a few more hours, to join the challenge at Christmas Card Throwdown.

I was late, but I did it!!

I am not very rich in stamps on the theme of winter sports but I own a pair of ice skates and that should be fine!
......and I was so exited to use my brand new embossing folder!!

I splashed some black ink on the base card. I cut the circle in the embossed panel, stamped the sentiment/text and glued it to the card. Then I stamped and colored the ice skates, fussy cut it and stuck it to the card using foam pads.

The text says something like this:
small winter pleasures
rolling in the snow & return to the warm home to savor a good chocolate in front of the fireplace

I wish you a nice and sunny weekend
See you soon!

Night ...at the Museum 👻

Hello everyone!
We have a new challenge at the Dream Factory! - This month's movie is

Night at the Museum
La nuit au musée -- Nachts im Museum

If you do not know the movie, here are some key words:
Monkeys, mummies (but no Halloween please), horses, cowboys, Egypt, dinosaurs, etc.

Do you like my dinosaur ?? I found it here. I traced it on paper, colored and fussy cut it. Then I sponged a white paper panel with green and blue ink, spritzed some water for more interest and stuck the dino on it.
I stamped and cut the words and glued them next to the cute monster.
I stuck the panel on the white base card, and voilà!
...ah, yes, I also added a tiny cloud on the upper left corner  and a bit glossy to the eyes.  😉

This topic gives many possibilities to let your creativity run wild! - Can not wait to see what you are going to do with it!

Just for you

Hello everyone!
Today, I'll show you a card that I made last month. - It will slip gently between the pumkins and the christmas trees." hahaha

... and by chance, it fits with the challenge at Just Add Ink, ....because of the strawberry! 😉

I copied the cupcake by hand on watercolor paper and I colored it with watercolor - that makes sense, doesn't it?
I embossed and sponged the base card with light blue ink.
I cut the image and added the sentiment, pasted it on black cardstock and then stuck it to the card. Voilà!

Maybe you like it!

A new old idea! 😉

Hello everyone!

I have already made this card (click) a few years ago. At that time I used a ribbon because it did not go well with a paper strip.

This time I tried again with a paper strip and look, ----- it worked!

I cut a white cardboard slightly smaller than the base card and watercolored it in light pink.
I colored two white paper strips (0,4 x 31 cm) with Lemon Lime Twist (Stampin'Up) and glued them together in the lengthwise.
I began the folding with the straight strip. - Just by eye, no measuring tape or so!
Once finished the folding, I turned the fir and put a small piece of double-sided tape on each end of the folds. Once done, I turned the fir again and stuck it to the pink background, starting by he straight strip, up to the top! "branch by branch".
I stamped the sentiment three times in a row without re-inking (is this the right word?) and moved at each time slightly to the left.
To finish, I stuck the panel to the base card and added a tiny red foam star to top of the fir.

The advantage of paper is that it is more docile than the ribbon and and so it is easier to put on - I still do not understand why it was a problem at the time!
.... On the other hand, I think the ribbon looks more elegant!

What do you think?

Peace on Earth

Hello everyone!
Today I have the head full of ideas and so I come with one more card!

The inspiration for this card came to me when I saw the superb card of Stephanie Lanzalotto on Muse Christmas Visions.
I also wanted to do something with a globe - so I searched and found ...a globe, a little cradle, and the very little sentiment "Peace on Earth"!
I die cut the Big Circle Burst (Memory Box) into a white cardstock that was slightly smaller than the base card.
I stamped the little Jesus on the disk (obtained by the previous cut) and then the globe, having first masked the part with the cradle. I used watercolors for the globe and felt-tip pens to color the cradle.
To give a little more shine, I stuck a piece of silver paper between the base card and the part with the circle. I hung the "christmas ball" with a cap and a piece of silver twine to the panel and glued it to the card. To finish I added the sentiment "Peace on Earth".

It's been a while since I've used the big circle and ... Bang! - Now I have made two cards with it! (See the post just before)!

Thanks for your visit!
